Kate B. Maxwell is a journalist in Northern California and the founder of the News Go Bag Project, which provides tools and support for local news outlets and journalists before, during, and after emergencies and disasters.

Previously, she was the co-founder and publisher of The Mendocino Voice, a county-wide online local news outlet, started in 2016. Her print and broadcast reporting has been published in a variety of local and national outlets.
